Durham Arts Council proudly invites you to the visual arts exhibit “Portraits of Durham,” a Durham 150 event, on view in the Semans and Allenton Galleries of the Durham Arts Council through May 2. The exhibition features work by 64 local artists, each sharing their interpretation of what defines Durham.

The show is part of the Durham150 commemoration - a celebration of 150 years of Durham being incorporated. Ninety-five pieces were selected to represent Durham’s people, places and lifestyle.

Selected pieces will be included in the exhibit “Portraits of Durham,” on view at the Durham Arts Council March 15 – May 2, 2019. A reception for the Exhibit will be held on Friday, March 15, 6pm in conjunction with Third Friday Durham.=

A second reception will be held for the show on Friday, April 19 at 6pm – this reception, part of Third Friday Durham, will be free and open to the public.
